Ideally located between the Main Street and the Darwin Research Center and Turtles Reserve, we found Habitat hotel very comfortable with a helpful staff and a beautiful view on the sea.
The hotel has a nice restaurant and outdoor terrace (often occupied by some sealions!) and the rooms are very clean and confortable.
The hotel also has bikes that you can take to ride around Puerto Ayora, and is close to many restaurants and activities.
A good hotel for your stay on the island! read less

The cleanliness just in the bathroom can be optimized, the floor was probably swept but not wiped. My wife cleaned the bathroom again with a towel, which was very dirty afterwards. At high tide the way from the street to the reception was full of water and we could only reach our room with difficulty. Nice the directly above the water lying outside lounge and the dinner was very tasty. Also the breakfast had a bit more choice than in other hotels during our trip. Conclusion: a middle class hotel with good kitchen. More read less

The hotel itself has the perfect location, everything is close by and you can easily walk to beaches and the Charles Darwin Research Station. The staff is amazing and so helpful, they are taking such loving care of the room. Whenever you go on the terrace down by the restaurant you will be greeted by the cutest sea lions! I loved that, the hotel even gives them their proper space with a roof! It’s a paradise, home away from home with such a pretty design in the middle of a mangrove forest, highly recommended! Loved the situation amongst the mangroves and all the wildlife. The suite was verry good (could be better, but i guess the logistic is very complicated) -amazing views.

The hotel is in a great location in town and right on the bay. It’s is quite, clean with a very helpful and friendly staff. The overall service was fantastic and they spoke English.
The food was amazing. We end up eating 3 times here, because it was that good. The menu is the same for lunch and dinner. We had the lobster and the fish and it was really really good, delicious.
Our room was spacious, very clean, had air condition and a large bathroom. It has a large balcony with seating, perfect for morning coffee or afternoon drink.
Overall, it was a great stay. It made our trip much more amazing and we will never forget the experiences. I will definitely stay here again. read less

Slightly nervous, I booked my stay initially for 2 nights and then extended for 3 more.
I stayed longer because of the customer service, location and helpfulness (the sea lions easily made me stay) of the staff.
I had a ton of questions on where to Scuba, which islands to visit etc. Borris and Betzy were awesome w ideas on where to go. Andrea, the manager, was very on top of everything --you can tell she runs an efficient hotel. The restaurant was great, Jimmy (hope that is correct) in the morning at breakfast, and Yommy in the evening, were some of the best service I've had during my travels throughout South America.
The hotel is at the end of the strip, but in a 5 minute walk you're in the heart of downtown--I personally liked being a bit off the mainstreet. Every morning if either walk or borrow a bike (for free) from the hotel and ride to where I needed to meet for Scuba.
I don't often write reviews, but because this team was so wonderful, and made me feel very welcomed,I wanted to. The hotel was very clean, great amenities (q-tips, cottonballs, beach towels). I am actually surprised it was rated 3.5 stars, I'd give it a 4 star hotel. More read less

We named our suite the treehouse because we were perchec above the trees with 180 degree views. The room was very nice and clean and a highlight was the bathtub and shower with a view of the ocean while still being private. The food in the restaurant was excellent. There were some guests that hogged the lounge chairs but since they were bunches of napping sea lions we did not complain! The hotel is in a good location with a short walk to the main town and pier and very close to the Charles Darwin center. We also booked 2 excellent boat tours on a small yacht for day trips. Those are highly recommended as well. read less

If you’re looking for all-inclusive (meals), land-based, with high quality service, this is the place for you. Their customer service is top notch, both remotely before getting there, to coordinate everything, and then in person as well. Hotel: location is very convenient, easy 10 min walk to the Darwin station or down into the main town. The restaurant has many options for a hot breakfast buffet and a lot of o for dinner. It almost on the water, and thus there is a daily array of sea iguanas & sea lions resting allowing a lot of photos Windrose yacht: surprised this amazing sunseeker doesn’t have its own page on Trip Advisor. As part of the package, the hotel works with this boat. Not sure if we could have arranged other stuff on our own, but it was hassle free to book all together. The crew is super helpful, can handle all abilities getting in & out of the dingy for wet & dry landings, and the boat is beautiful. The snacks & lunches are made fresh on the boat daily by an amazing chef! The only negatives? Hotel: The signs said, per usual, to hang up towels to re-use...but they kept getting replaced every day!! Didn’t feel very eco =( Boat: some days it felt like the closer port would have made more sense... After a medical scare and needing to rebook our original trip, Galapagos Habitat was heaven sent. Boat: some days it felt like the closer port would have made more sense instead of driving across the island, eg for Santa Cruz, but they only use it one day a week. It would have been nice to have one more day to see Pinzon, Rabida, or maybe more of Santiago (assuming permits allowed); if doing all their routes it’s only 4 days that are unique, and would have loved another day or two!
PS they changed their name from Red Mangrove, so Google Maps etc can get a bit confused More read less
